M.F. Husain
M. F. Husain is one of the most widely recognisable names in Indian Modern Art. Famous for his narrative paintings, Husain was one of the founding members of the Progressive Artist's Group formed in 1947. Recurring themes in his ouvre are motifs inspired from the Indic and Islamic pictorial traditions rendered in bold lines and colours.
