The film tells the story of four women. It moves from the opulence of New York to a remote village in Uttar Pradesh, from the mansions of the rich to the hust of the poor, from the silence of the martyr to the scream of the rebel.
It may tell the story of the four women, but highlights the plight of woman worldwide, and the pressures and atrocities she faces - as a daughter, as a wife, as a bearer of children and as a victim of rape. But as the problems are faced, questions emerge, and they are met with anger, resolution and power. Stand up, revolt, fight.
