Introduction

शक्ति सामंत द्वारा निर्देशित कश्मीर की कली ऐसी संगीतमय प्रेम कहानी है जो रोमांस के साथ प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के मेल से रची गई है। फ़िल्म की कहानी बेपरवाह नायक राजीव (शम्मी कपूर) के किरदार के साथ आगे बढ़ती है। राजीव एक अमीर युवक है जो परिवार द्वारा तय की गई शादी से अपनी जान बचाने के लिए कश्मीर भाग जाता है। वहाँ उसकी मुलाकात गाँव की सादा सी, फूल बेचनेवाली खूबसूरत लड़की चम्पा (शर्मिला टैगोर) से होती है। राजीव को उससे प्यार हो जाता है। ये कहानी तब दिलचस्प मोड़ लेती है जब राजीव को चम्पा के असल खानदान के बारे में पता चलता है और उससे पैदा हुई वर्गीय और पारिवारिक अदावतें उनके मिलन की राह में खड़ी हो जाती हैं।
