Tere Mere Sapne is a soulful adaptation of renowned Scottish author A.J. Cronin's novel The Citadel that weaves together an engrossing narrative of idealism, moral dilemmas, and personal transformation. Dev Anand stars as Dr. Anand Kumar, a principled young doctor who initially dedicates his life to serving the poor in a rural village. Faced with overwhelming financial difficulties and societal pressures, Anand eventually relocates to Bombay, where he abandons his altruism in pursuit of wealth and fame. His focus shifts away from helping the underprivileged to serving the city's elite.
