Scene Description Teen Kanya is an anthogy of three films based on Rabindranath Tagore's short stories, made on the occassion of his centenary. Postmaster features a city bred man Nanda (played by Anil Chatterjee) who has come to live in a village as the postmaster, like a fish out of water. He is stationed at a small cottage where his caretaker is an orphaned child, Ratan. Nanda's careless affection for Ratan starts a beautifuil relationship that would however dissolve into the inarticulate universal sorrow of seperation. (1/6)
