Zindagi (1964) Produced by S. S. Vasan under Gemini Pictures and directed by Ramanand Sagar, was a poignant drama centering around a stage actress, Beena, played by Vyjayanthimala. The film also stars Rajendra Kumar and Raaj Kumar in pivotal roles, with a strong supporting cast including Prithviraj Kapoor, Mehmood, Jayant, Jeevan, Leela Chitnis, and Helen. Beena lives a modest life with her widowed mother (Leela Chitnis) and works as a theatre artist.
