Film TitleJoi Baba Felunath (The Elephant God), 1979, India, Bengali
Scene DescriptionWith a sense of imminent conclusion, Maganlal approaches Mochhli-baba to handover the offering- precisely his smuggled wealth. Along with everyone, he is stunned to see a gun pointing at him from Mochhli-baba's red overclothe. With careful iconic tidiness, Felunath (imposter of the rough sadhu) corners Maganlal and fires bullets around his silhouette counting his crimes. With perfect irony, the last bullet makes Maganlal pass out into the arms of emerging police officer. (20/29)
