Scene Description The king, Hirak Raja (brilliantly portrayed by veteran actor Utpal Dutt) sits on his throne, beside him is the jesting minister (played by Ajoy Banerjee). They are comical villains who speak in rhymes. The king is preparing for the grand reveal of his statue. He gifts diamonds to the ministers who are all collaborators of the totalitarian administration by which the decadent King exploits the poor and ruthlessly persecutes dissent.(3/35)
