It follows Inayat Khan, a police officer who accidentally orphans a young boy named Altaaf during a raid. Inayat adopts Altaaf, but when the boy discovers the truth, he flees, joins a terrorist group led by Hilal Kohistani, and returns years later for revenge. Inayat Khan loses his own son due to a local militant's strict rules. Seeking payback, Inayat attacks a hideout, but his men kill an innocent family by mistake. Only the young boy, Altaaf, stays alive. Urged by his wife Neelima, Inayat adopts Altaaf to raise him as his own child, hiding the dark truth of how his parents died. As a young man, Altaaf finds out that his loving adoptive father is actually the man who killed his biological family. Filled with deep rage, he runs away and joins a radical militant leader named Hilal Kohistani. Hilal trains Altaaf to become a dangerous weapon and brings him back to Srinagar to execute a destructive plot called "Mission Kashmir". In the climax, Inayat discovers the real terror plot is to bomb Hindu and Muslim religious sites to spark a war. Altaaf refuses to execute Inayat, kills the mastermind Hilal instead, destroys the missiles to stop the massacre, and is finally rescued by Inayat.
