Kal Aaj Aur Kal (1971), produced by Raj Kapoor and directed by his son Randhir Kapoor, is notable for featuring three generations of the Kapoor family as in Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, and Randhir Kapoor alongside Babita. The film marked the final screen appearance of Prithviraj Kapoor, who passed away a year after its release, and was the last collaboration between Raj Kapoor and the legendary music duo Shankar–Jaikishan. Supporting roles were played by Achala Sachdev, David, Iftekhar, and Roopesh Kumar Following the commercial failure of Mera Naam Joker, this film served as a partial comeback for Raj Kapoor, though it wasn't a major box office success.
