Ranvir Shorey (born 18 August 1972) He is an Indian actor, television host, and former video jockey whose career spans mainstream Hindi cinema, independent films, television, and digital streaming platforms. Since making his acting debut in Ek Chhotisi Love Story (2002), Shorey has established himself as one of the most versatile performers in contemporary Indian cinema, earning recognition for his nuanced portrayals across diverse genres. His commercially successful films include Jism (2003), Lakshya (2004), Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Angrezi Medium (2020), and Tiger 3 (2023). Simultaneously, he has gained critical acclaim through performances in Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), Traffic Signal (2007), Bheja Fry (2007), Mithya (2008), Titli (2014), A Death in the Gunj (2016), and Sonchiriya (2019), the latter earning him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Born in Jalandhar, Punjab, to film producer Krishan Dev Shorey, Ranvir Shorey completed his early education at Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School. He shares a close professional association with actor-director Rajat Kapoor and actor Vinay Pathak, with whom he collaborated during the formative years of his career. Beginning as a television host, Shorey co-presented the popular programmes Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun? and The Great Indian Comedy Show, which established his reputation as a witty and engaging television personality.

Shorey's breakthrough in cinema came with the widely acclaimed comedy Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), followed by memorable performances in Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006), Traffic Signal (2007), Bheja Fry (2007), and Mithya (2008). In 2024, he participated in Bigg Boss OTT 3, finishing as the second runner-up.

In his personal life, Shorey was previously in a relationship with actress Pooja Bhatt before marrying actress Konkona Sen Sharma in 2010. The couple has a son, Haroon Shorey, born in 2011. Although they later separated, they continue to maintain an amicable relationship while co-parenting their son. Shorey's contributions to Indian cinema have been recognised through numerous critical accolades, including the IFEFA Award in 2016 for his performance in Titli (2014). His body of work remains widely appreciated for its realism, emotional depth, and consistent artistic excellence.
