Film TitleShakha Proshakha (Branches of the Tree), 1991, India, Bengali
Scene DescriptionThe senile ninety-three-year old grandfather often makes everyone aware of his existence in the house with sheer shock. He acts like an ominous portent of what the future holds for these uncompromising, self-righteous men. Prabir and Prabodh both begrudge him, the former saying that he cannot handle senility and the later says its futile to meet him because he doesn't recognize anyone. (14/37)
