In 2006, one of the biggest questions in India's film industry was, "Can Shah Rukh Khan do justice to Don?" The biggest Bollywood superstar of the Aughts was stepping into the shoes of the biggest superstar of the 70s. This question caused such a furor because "Don”, both as a character and a film, held a special place in the hearts of many Bachchan fans. The original film stars Bachchan in a double role: one as the titular Don, and the other as Vijay, a small-town, simple-minded man who takes Don's place after his demise.
