Body of Work

In Limehouse, a poor area, Lucy is beaten up by her father, Battling Burrows the boxer. She gets involved with a Chinese, Cheng Huan, who tries to make peace. But when Lucy dies under her father's blows, Cheng Huan kills him and commits suicide.

A classic melodrama. All the sweetness that Lilian Gish and Richard Barthelmess bring to this film gives it an incontestable charm and plenty of emotion.
