अनहोनी (1952) एक मनोवैज्ञानिक ड्रामा फ़िल्म है। इस फ़िल्म का निर्देशन ख्वाज़ा अहमद अब्बास ने किया था। इस फ़िल्म की कहानी सन् 1939 में बांग्ला में निर्मित फ़िल्म अधिकार पर आधारित थी। इस फ़िल्म में नर्गिस ने दो विपरीत मनोवृत्तियों वाले किरदारों की दोहरी भूमिका निभाकर अभिनय के क्षेत्र में एक नई ज़मीन तोड़ी थी। हिन्दी सिनेमा में संभवत: पहली बार किसी अभिनेता को इस तरह के दोहरे किरदार करने का मौका मिला था। नर्गिस के साथ फ़िल्म में राज कपूर मुख्य भूमिका में थे। साथ में ओम प्रकाश, आग़ा, डेविड और अचला सचदेव जैसे कलाकार अन्य सहायक भूमिकाएँ निभा रहे थे। फ़िल्म के लिए संगीत संगीतकार रोशन ने तैयार किया था और गीतों के बोल उर्दू अदब के नामी शायर अली सरदार जाफ़री ने लिखे थे। फ़िल्म में ख़ासतौर पर नर्गिस को विपरीत स्वभाव वाले दोनों किरदारों की भूमिका में उनकी प्रभावशाली अभिव्यक्ति के लिए आलोचकों की खूब सराहना मिली। फ़िल्म की कहानी एक निर्धन वकील राज कुमार सक्सेना (राज कपूर) के किरदार के साथ आगे बढ़ती है। राज को रूप नामक एक अमीर युवती से प्यार हो जाता है। लेकिन यह मामला तब उलझ जाता है जब राज को मालूम पड़ता है कि रूप की एक हमशक्ल बहन भी है, जिसका नाम मोहिनी है। मोहिनी पेशे से एक तवायफ़...
