Scene DescriptionPratap comes to the house with the rest, keeping very much to himself and having very little to say aside of answering trite questions. Tapati, Prabir's wife, is more than a sister-in-law and a close friend to him. She probes him over his silence. Pratap reveals that he has given up his successful job and joined a professional theatre company as an actor. The corruption in the company's higher ranks prompted his resignation. But he is apprehensive how his elder brothers, especially his father will take the news. The scene is however, tediously drawn out. (6/37)
