Scene Description Shyamalendu, Dolon and Tutul are at the diner where a cabaret dancer ( the famous cabaret dancer of Calcutta, Ms Shefali) is performing for the guests in a Hawaiian dress. Amidst the jocularity, the conversation with Ranadeb Sanyal, the rival 'jockey' who coincidentally met them, reveals that there is a production strike at the factory. Tutul is perceptive enough to understand that this is Shyamalendu's doing. She is silent for the rest of the night. (18/24)
