Scene Description The documentary by Satyajit Ray on the life of artist Benode Behari Mukherjee who studied art at Santiniketan under Nandalal Bose and later came back as a faculty of theory of fine arts at the school and lived most of his life there. Behari was born without a vision in his one eye and lost another severely myopic eye at the age of 58. _x000d_ The film opens with a mural being painted at the wall of the newly developed building in Santiniketan, headed by Benode Behari Mukherjee. Ray in a voiceover explains the techniques and materials being used in the making of the mural while also simultaneously spreading out the life of the artist and his process of making the art._x000d_ Benode Behari lives in a cottage near the campus building, alone, having lost vision in both his eyes but relying on all the other senses to carry forward his life properly even at the age of 73.(1/16)
