Scene Description Nisith shocks Ashok by revealing his motives. He is unconcerned about the incumbent epidemic and refuses to make any constructive change. His interest is centered on keeping the business up and running, the tourist business which is an import of the temple whose water is polluted according to Ashok. When Ashok threatens to take legal action, Nisith surprises him yet again with the fact that the judge is in his pocket and he is also a devout worshipper at the temple. Ashok's claims will be assuaged, he will be declared a sacrilegious heretic with anti-Hindu sentiments. (9/36)
