' and 'Three sides of the inner and outer enclosures consisted of corridors of pillars, with domes at intervals, and an outer wall. The wall is Mahometan, but the corridors and domes, of which views are given above and in the preceding plates, are pure Jaina, of the tenth or twelfth century, if not earlier. The pillars are of great richness and beauty ; they are probable on their ancient sites, but have been taken and re-arranged. Here and there a Jaina figure or emblem has escaped mutilation.' l.c.on mount.
