Scene Description Kalikinkar sits distraught in front of the goddess's idol, begging for answers as to why his grandchild has died. It is perhaps the worst punishmnet for an orthodox Hindu man to watch his bloodline end. Umaprasad arrives on the scene, resolute to take Doya away and accuses Kaikinkar of murder doubled by his persecution of Doyamoyee, finally confronting the patriarch for the mass paranoia that he has created and the victims who have fallen prey to it.
