Scene Description Kalikinkar's grandson Khoka is another devotee of Doyamoyee. Enamoured by the loving aunt, he escapes the disciplining hands of his mother and comes to Doya again and again. This is also an interesting juxtaposition that the older daughter-in-law grumbles about. There is a very strong distinction in the film's treatment of both the women. Doyamoyee is softer, more 'feminine', almost childlike while her counterpart who is largely ignored in the house, is a practical and astute woman who sees things as they are. (10/30)
