Scene DescriptionAs Amal and Charu spend time together, one writing and the other doting on him, simple hospitality and friendship takes a noticeable dive of intensity which begins to colour Charu's affections more than it does Amal's. She holds him in a different regard, wants him to feel dependent on her, to want her as she wants him. Whenever she feels her affections not returned - when Amal quips with Manda or takes her in some sort of confidence leaving Charu aside, Charu sulks. The exclusive pact on their writing is a symbolic articulation of her possessiveness on the writer than the writing itself. (6/14)
