Scene Description Gangacharan eats while his wife fans him. He lets on that war is causing inflation and the price of grain is shooting up. Curious, the ignorant wife wants to know who is fighting whom in the war. Gangacharan replies, it's the king of India (the British) fighting the kings of Germany and Japan. She expresses her wonder at the fleet of aeroplanes often spotted in the village sky and innocently asks Gangacharan, how do they fly? Unable to form a coherent answer, he compares the flight of kites to the flight of military aircrafts. (2/24)
