Scene Description After Narsingh loses his permit for reckless driving, he comes across the shady businessman Sukhanram who offers to give him a job and housing at Shyamnagar. Things begin to look upwards for Narsingh. He meets Joseph, another driver at Shyamnagar whose grandfather was friends with Narsingh's grandfather and they share a common ancestral village. Joseph and his sister Nilima, a teacher, develop an easy friendship with Narsingh. In this scene, Narsingh offers to drive Nilima to her school when a loose spring on the seat pokes her. Rama, Narsingh's trusted assistant (played by Rabi Ghosh) explains that monkeys caused the damage to the seat. (2/4)
