Satoko is a housewife who lives a comfortable life with her businessman husband, Hideyuki, and her six-year-old son, Masato. One day, she meets Minoru, a paper delivery boy, who happens to be playing with Masato in the field. Initially, Minoru seems to be a serious, hardworking young man. But she learns that when he was twelve, he had stabbed and killed his father who would regularly beat his mother. Although he had done this to protect his mother, she abandoned him and disappeared. Minoru sees a little of his mother in Satoko and starts to follow her around. He soon discovers that Satoko is being threatened by the yakuza mafia. Satoko begins to change and her husband, Hideyuki, senses that something is wrong. As passion and love envelope Satoko and Minoru, he tries to save her. Satoko wishes to escape but fear keeps her from doing so. Is what each person feels, reality or illusion?
