Eternally Secure (2005)
In this supernatural thriller, Anandan returns to his hometown, Sivapuram, from the US to fulfil his deceased mother's wish of immersing her ashes in a river near Manthrikapura, a mystical garden, and lighting a lamp in Sivakavu, a strange, dark place near Sivapuram. As a young boy, Anandan had heard bedtime stories from his mother about the people and places near Sivapuram. However, as soon as he arrives, he realises that what he had heard is different from what he sees. Villagers warn him not to light the lamp in the forbidden Sivakavu. Anandan, who does not believe in the supernatural, enters Sivakavu, and his life is never the same again. Is something 'supernatural' happening to him? If so, what is it? Who is behind it? Is it Bhadra, his cousin and lover? Or the mysterious Digambaran, or his lover Bama? Or Chemban, her blind brother?
