Body of Work

Drenched…in the Rain is based on eminent poet Joy Goswami's novel written in verse. The story traces the transition of Arani, from a shy boy of the suburbs to a poet who experiences life in the metro. His relationships with three women bring about this transformation — his elder sister, whose life changes soon after their father passes away; Radha, Arani's muse (he writes poems expressing his love for her) who, for the sake of her family, gets married to a rogue and is trapped in a loveless marriage; and the young, flamboyant, mysterious and sensuous Apara, who is an ardent admirer of Arani, and becomes his muse.
