Dor is about two different women from two different worlds. Zeenat is an independent, self-assured young woman from Himachal Pradesh. She is young and headstrong, and has lived life on her terms. She lives alone, chooses to marry for love and is ready to go to any lengths to save her husband's life, against all odds. Meera is a simple and conventional girl who lives by the strict traditions of her Rajput roots. She is sweet and innocent and content with what life has given her — a loving husband and a joint family, even though life changes drastically when her husband dies. In ways that neither of them could have predicted, their worlds are about to collide as momentous news reaches them at the same time and sets into motion a series of events that will change their lives forever.
