Introduction

Do Jasoos (1975) A comedy-drama film produced and directed by Naresh Kumar, featuring two cinematic legends Raj Kapoor and Rajendra Kumar in the lead role, its ensemble cast also included Prem Chopra, Sujit Kumar, Farida Jalal, and Aruna Irani.
The story follows two bumbling private detectives, Dharamchand (Raj Kapoor) and Karamchand (Rajendra Kumar), who are hired by millionaire Kushalchand (Asit Sen) to discreetly locate his missing daughter Hema (Farida Jalal). Due to a mix-up, they mistakenly search for her friend Pinky (Bhawana Bhatt). In their chaotic investigation, they inadvertently rescue Hema and become entangled in a criminal plot involving murder, inheritance, and fake currency. Pinky, having witnessed a murder and inherited a fortune, becomes the target of the villainous Prem (Prem Chopra), who plots to marry her and reclaim his father's wealth. After a series of twists, the detectives foil Prem's plan and are celebrated for uncovering the crime ring.
The film's music, composed by Ravindra Jain with lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri and Jain himself, played a significant role in its popularity. Songs like Dariya Cha Raja Deva (partially inspired by Osibisa's Woyaya, Happy New Year to You, Main Bijli Hoon Titli Hoon, Allah Meri Tauba, and Do Jasoos Kare became major hits. The film enjoyed box office success, largely due to its catchy music and the iconic pairing of Kapoor and Kumar in comedic roles.

दो जासूस (1975) एक कॉमेडी से भरी ड्रामा फिल्म थी जिसके निर्माता और निर्देशक नरेश कुमार थे। इसमें दो सिनेमा के दो दिग्गज अभिनेता राज कपूर और राजेन्द्र कुमार शीर्षक भूमिकाएँ निभा रहे थे जबकि दूसरे अहम सहायक कलाकारों में प्रेम चोपड़ा, सुजीत कुमार, फ़रीदा जलाल और अरुणा ईरानी जैसे कलाकार शामिल थे।
फ़िल्म की कहानी दो अनाड़ी प्राइवेट जासूसों धरमचंद (राज कपूर) और करमचंद (राजेन्द्र कुमार) के किरदारों के साथ आगे बढ़ती है। इन दोनों जासूसों को करोड़पति कुशलचंद (असित सेन) अपनी लापता बेटी हेमा (फ़रीदा जलाल) को गुप्त रूप से ढूंढ़ने के लिए नियुक्त करते हैं। तभी एक गलतफ़हमी के चलते वे हेमा के बजाए उसकी सहेली पिंकी (भावना भट्ट) की तलाश में लग जाते हैं। पर फिर इसी अफ़रातफ़री भरी खोजबीन के दौरान वे अनजाने में हेमा को बचा लेते हैं। इसके बाद वे दोनों हत्या, उत्तराधिकार और जाली नोटों से जुड़े एक खतरनाक आपराधिक षड्यंत्र में उलझ जाते हैं। पिंकी जो अचानक एक बड़ी जायदाद की वारिस बन गई है वो एक हत्या की चश्मदीद गवाह है। कहानी का असली खलनायक प्रेम (प्रेम चोपड़ा) उसे अपना निशाना बनाता है। उसकी कोशिश है कि वो पिंकी से शादी करके अपने पिता की दौलत हासिल कर ले। आखिर कई उतारचढ़ाव भरे मोड़ों के बाद हमारे दोनों जासूस धरमचंद और करमचंद दुष्ट प्रेम की योजनाओं को नाकाम कर देते हैं। समूचे अपराधी गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ करने के लिए उन्हें सम्मानित भी किया जाता है।
इस फ़िल्म के लिए संगीत रवींद्र जैन ने तैयार किया था फ़िल्म के गीत हसरत जयपुरी और स्वयं रवींद्र जैन ने लिखे थे। इस फ़िल्म का संगीत फ़िल्म को मिली लोकप्रियता का एक अहम हिस्सा रहा। फ़िल्म के गीत "दरिया चा राजा देवा" पर कुछ हद तक अफ्रीका के रॉक बैंड ओसिबिसा के गीत 'वोयान्ना' का प्रभाव माना जाता है। फ़िल्म के दूसरे गीत "हैप्पी न्यू ईयर टू यू", "मैं बिजली हूँ तितली हूँ", "अल्लाह मेरी तौबा" और सबसे चर्चित "दो जासूस करें महसूस" बड़े हिट हुए। हरदिलअज़ीज़ संगीत और राज कपूर व राजेन्द्र कुमार की चिरपरिचित जोड़ी को कॉमेडी करते देखने के आकर्षण के चलते यह फ़िल्म टिकट खिड़की पर बड़ी कामयाब रही।
