Body of Work

Born in a coastal Kerala village more than 70 years ago, Dany loses his parents and siblings early in life and earns his living by playing saxophone in the church choir. He marries Clara, who, for some unkown reason, walks out one day with their daughter leaving Dany dejected and alone. Accepting the fatherhood of the child of an unmarried mother enables Dany to lead a domesticated yet frustrated life for some time. Over the years he gives himself up to his real interests: playing the saxophone and drinking. Finally he is sent to a nursing home where he befriends Bhargavi, who has a similar story. When Bhargavi invites him to her village, Dany readily accepts. But he wants to visit his daughter first. To his shock, she refuses to accept him and drives him away... That night, Dany plays his saxophone for the last time...
