Introduction

Introduction for Dance of Love (2005) is being prepared.

Body of Work

Dance of Love addresses the issues of life and womanhood. This is a story of a temple dancer in the 1920s who seeks emancipation, as she interprets it, with art as her only tool of inner strength. The film explores layers of human expression, using sringaram as a metaphor. 'Sringaram' could literally mean love, ornamentation and sensuality. Like the human mind, emotion and aesthetic, sringaram is a multi-layered concept.
