After the Night.. Dawn uses the pretext of a large, isolated cottage located in a remote corner of the Himalayas, and an earthquake that destroys the sole suspended bridge leading to it and isolating it completely, to examine the relationships among the members of a family and their friend living there. The beautiful countryside and the gaiety in the house take a different turn when the earthquake cuts off electricity. With an acute shortage of food and water, a veritable fight for survival begins. Sandip Ray's film is a subtle examination of human nature under extreme circumstances.
