" Bhaskaran’s once well-known felines were a fit symbol for the independent mindedness of the cat personality, its freedom from servility. Now that animal cannot have erupted in him without reason, perhaps it reflected the artist’s own anima. "Keshav Malik, rpt. in R.B. Bhaskaran, Dhoomimal Art Centre, September 2002; ExC rpt. in De.Onl/17.02.24, Lot 27
