InscriptionInscribed in English in pencil 'Dera - I - Dowlut, Seringapatam. (Painting representing Colonel Bailey's Defeat.)' on lower edge of mount and '25.01.030' t.r. on mount. Printed text in English in a label '457. VIEWS IN MYSORE. BAILOOR TEMPLE. Situated inside the Fort, at the village of the same name, is a detached building, standing in a paved court completely surrounded by old Mundapums, and with the usual Gopuram over the entrance. The Court is badly kept, overgrown with weeds, and encumbered with rubbish. The Temple is raised on a platform about four feet high. It has four entrances; the front one being here shown, with a portion of the east face of the Temple.' pasted on verso of mount.
