From the Family Collection of Shri Mulk Raj Kohli (1891-1978) who was the Founder Director of The New Bank of India in Lahore where he spent the years 1938 to 1947. During this time he met the artist Bhabesh C. Sanyal from whom he bought various paintings, five of which are included in this Auction. Lot 2 - The Dhobi's Son in Lahore was especially commissioned by him from the artist during this important pre-partition period in Lahore.
