Koji is a 29-year-old designer working in Tokyo. His elder btoher, Shuichi, who lives in his hometown, gives him the news that his father has passed away and his young nephew, Takuya, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted armed robbery. Koji himself has problems with a client at work, and has an unsteady love relationship. One night, he gets drunk and starts dancing erratically alone in his flat. Young Takuya returns home on probation. But he refuses to communicate with his father and his uncle. On the day of his father's burial, Koji returns to the village. Here he spends time alone recalling his youth. At night, on top of a mountain, he encounters a mysterious masked man who seems to be reading his thoughts. It is raining heavily and Takuya is alone at home, reading a comic book in his bedroom. He hears someone tiptoeing up the stairs. The door clicks open.
